N-Gage2 : Update Error

Been trying to install the n-gage.sisx file since it was announced, but in vain. Always get this "Update Error". This usually happens when some application tries to install a file that is already present in a particular location. I uninstalled quiet some applications which I didn't use frequently but nothing. Googled for this, and I think I am the only one with this problem. Dont want to format my phone now, guess I'll get a look at N-Gage2 only when the new firmware comes out for the N958G :(

Do you have PIPS / OpenC installed? The old version of PIPS (v1.1) is not compatible with the new one (v1.2). They cannot overwrite each other because the UID has been changed. Try to uninstall PIPS.

Thats strange it should work fine with that version (although there is a newer firmware out for the n95-8gb :) ) . Did you install/try the "first access" n-gage application before ?

Upgrading PIPS to v1.2 did the trick.

Thanks Antony and CJ

Wierd, cant think of anything to help you. BTW just I upgraded my firmware (N958G) to V20.0.016. It didn't have the new n-gage. I just downloaded and installed. Now when I look in app manager I see PIPS is V1.01(1) , there is also another app Symbian OS Pipes v1.00(0).
...aargggghhhh
Don't know anything about the Pipes thingi, do u have it?
