Been trying to install the n-gage.sisx file since it was announced, but in vain. Always get this "Update Error". This usually happens when some application tries to install a file that is already present in a particular location. I uninstalled quiet some applications which I didn't use frequently but nothing. Googled for this, and I think I am the only one with this problem. Dont want to format my phone now, guess I'll get a look at N-Gage2 only when the new firmware comes out for the N958G :(

Update error eh ? Which firmware version are you on rite now ?
V15.0.015
Do you have PIPS / OpenC installed? The old version of PIPS (v1.1) is not compatible with the new one (v1.2). They cannot overwrite each other because the UID has been changed. Try to uninstall PIPS.
Thats strange it should work fine with that version (although there is a newer firmware out for the n95-8gb :) ) . Did you install/try the "first access" n-gage application before ?
Upgrading PIPS to v1.2 did the trick.
Thanks Antony and CJ
I have the same "update error" problem on my N81-8GB. But i can't see a PIPS application in the app. manager. But i can't install pips v1.2 either. it says "update error" ;)
But when i want to instell pips v1.1 it says "component is buildt-in"
please help me. i want to play my n-gage gamea ;o)
Wierd, cant think of anything to help you. BTW just I upgraded my firmware (N958G) to V20.0.016. It didn't have the new n-gage. I just downloaded and installed. Now when I look in app manager I see PIPS is V1.01(1) , there is also another app Symbian OS Pipes v1.00(0).
...aargggghhhh
Don't know anything about the Pipes thingi, do u have it?
