S60 : Give em something to amaze

One of the best things I like about carrying the N95 is that there is something or the other on it to amaze my friends and family. "Whats new on your phone?" is what I get to hear most of the time when I meet people, and most of the times I have something to show them and get nice reactions ;)

SHAZAMID
I am not such a great UIQ fan, so when my friend asked me about reviews for the P1i, I went googling for its features. Sony Ericsson has this amazing TrackID feature. Just transfer a recording of any music/song and you will be given back the details of the track. AMAZZINGG. Searching for its S60 counterpart I came across ShazamID. Tried it and was really surprised. It recognized every track I gave it, the oldest Hindi songs to the latest ones. All of my colleagues gave it a try, simply great results.

IRREMOTE
I was once traveling with my in-laws, their car audio remote was not working. Figured out their player model, downloaded its related file on Psiloc's IrRemote and TADA, surprised them.

Got similar reactions with PyPiwo, Nokmote, MobiTubia.

Google Maps , show em your location even if its not a GPS enabled phone ;)

Shozu your just clicked pics, even the BarCode application was enough to amaze some of my friends.

There are lots of such apps and the newer ones keep coming.
