N78 : Where's the memory card?

Quiet some things have changed on S60 FP2, location of the memory card is one such thing.
I wanted to format the memory card but could'nt find its icon in the Tools menu, where its always been since the 2nd Edition.
Its now shifted in the FileManager application, along with its options ;)



Even timed profiles are back with FP2 and Darla is very happy about it.

Having multiple phones, digital cameras, card readers? If yes i am sure you always wished you had one memory card format that fits all you mobile devices, mp3players, digital cameras etc.
Seems like the wish is about to be fulfilled (but not so soon).

"Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and three other technology companies have announced that they will join forces to create a unified memory card for electronic devices by 2009.
The new specification, dubbed Universal Flash Storage (UFS) will "reflect the industry's need for a universal memory solution that removes the need for adaptors to accommodate different removable memory card sizes."
The companies also hope that working together will help improve speed and performance enabling high-speed access to large multimedia files, while reducing power-consumption in consumer electronic devices.
The manufacturers say that mobile handsets and digital cameras will be the first to benefit from the universal open standard."

Remove mem. card

I know that a faster way to switch profiles is to press the power button and choose one of the profiles, but I noticed this option "Remove mem. card" for the first time on E61. Also this link seems interesting "My E61 forgetes about its mem card", worth reading for those who have mem card issues.
